Core Privacy & Architecture Guarantee
Syncro does not operate intermediate video storage servers. When you record a video or take a screenshot, data streams directly through your browser via Google’s official OAuth API directly into your personal or workspace Google Drive. You maintain 100% ownership and control over your media.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and UtilsFirst Technologies ("UtilsFirst", "we", "us", or "our"), governing your installation, access, and use of the Syncro browser extension, websites, and related software services (collectively, the "Service").
By downloading, installing, or utilizing the Syncro extension, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Service.
2. Description of Services
Syncro is a browser extension designed to capture video recordings of browser tabs, application windows, or your full desktop screen, record accompanying microphone and system audio, render an optional webcam presenter bubble, and capture screenshots with blur features.
Syncro enables direct streaming of captured video and image files into your designated Google Drive folder and generates immediate shareable URLs using standard Google Drive sharing configurations.
3. Google Account & Drive Permissions
To enable automated cloud uploads, Syncro requests authorization to access your Google Drive using Google’s OAuth 2.0 authorization protocol:
- Scope of Access: Syncro requests restricted access specifically to create, upload, and generate sharing links for files created by Syncro in your Google Drive.
- Revoking Access: You can disconnect your Google Account and revoke Syncro’s authorization at any moment through the extension settings or via Google Account Security Settings (myaccount.google.com/permissions).
- Storage Quotas: Your recording limits and cloud capacities are governed exclusively by your available Google Drive quota. UtilsFirst is not responsible for recording interruptions resulting from full Google Drive storage.
4. Ownership & User Content
You retain complete, unencumbered ownership and all intellectual property rights in and to any videos, screenshots, audio, or other content ("User Content") captured using Syncro.
Because recordings are transferred directly from your browser client to your Google Drive account, UtilsFirst does not host, view, monetize, copy, or claim any ownership over your User Content.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use Syncro to:
- Record individuals without their informed consent in violation of applicable wiretapping, recording, or surveillance statutes.
- Capture, store, or transmit copyrighted materials, trade secrets, or proprietary information without authorization.
- Capture or propagate defamatory, abusive, obscene, or unlawful content.
- Attempt to decompile, reverse-engineer, exploit vulnerabilities, or interfere with the integrity of the extension.
- Violate Google’s Terms of Service or Google API Acceptable Use Policies.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, UTILSFIRST DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the extension will operate uninterrupted or error-free, that recordings will be completely immune from browser crashes or third-party API changes, or that defects will be corrected immediately.
7. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL UTILSFIRST, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
8. Termination & Modifications
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When updates are published, the "Last Updated" date will reflect the revision. Continued use of the Service following any modifications signifies your acceptance of the amended Terms.
You may terminate your agreement with these Terms at any time by uninstalling the Syncro extension from your web browser and revoking Google OAuth access.
